In this episode, retired agent Shayne Buchwald-Nickoles reviews a violent crime case she worked while assigned to a white-collar crime squad in the Baltimore Division. Developed through a confidential human source (CHS), the task force investigation involved stolen firearms, a conspiracy to commit home invasions and jewelry store robberies, a fake police stop, and the kidnapping of the owner of a jewelry store.
The successful investigation and prosecution resulted in the guilty plea and conviction of Stanislav “Steven” Yelizarov and six other co-conspirators. The investigative team was recognized with the Rod Rosenstein Award for Outstanding Collaborative Efforts among federal, state, and local law enforcement.
